I'm back - and it looks like I'm running too!!

I know, I know, I have said this in the past plenty of times... but I actually am back on it!!

I decided not to start back up again until I knew that I was definitely back with Weight Watchers well and truly...

So to start off, I thought I would just give you all a quick update on my current weight loss journey...

Week 1 - 7.5lbs
Week 2 -2.5lbs
Week 3 +.5lbs
Week 4 -1lb
Week 5 -2lbs
Week 6 -3lbs
Week 7 -2lbs
Week 8-1lb
Week 9 -1lb
Week 10 +1lb
Week 11 +1lb

Well, I apologise now for the last 2 weeks, but theses have been weeks that have been better than they could have been as I seem to have eaten out lots over these last two weeks so hopefully I will be able to get back on fire with it this week....

Life? What's happening with it at the moment? Lots but I wont bore you all for now with it. But Baby O now looks like this.....

And here is Mr O and I last week out for a meal.

Why did I decide to get back on it and loose my weight again? Simple. That guy there! I just don't want to be a 'fat Mum' at the school gate! I don't want to be an embarrassment to him. I remember once I had a 'tiff' with some kids at school about them calling my Mum fat and from then on I was really embarrassed about her. I never saw her as fat. I saw her as my Mummy! Maybe it was because I was going through the 'trying to be cool' stage at school? Or maybe it was the turn in me suddenly being embarrassed by my Mum as I was 'at that age'?... I mean, my Mum was working her butt off doing different jobs, bringing up 4 children (all with an age gap of 6 years) and trying to keep us all together.
Ok, so that is one reason. The other reason is thanks to some awful photos that were taken of me.For example this is me in Australia back over the Easter period.

No selfie angle can hide a photo that someone else takes off the cuff! There is no excuse now. Baby O is nearly 3 and I can't exactly say it's Baby fat or baby fat anymore!

So, after 8 weeks, THIS has been the difference so far.... The photo on the left was back in June and then the one on the right was taken in September.

Bare with me as I also update the recipes on here to SPs and keep an eye out for all the new recipes and foody finds out there that I find... I'm aiming to do at least one new blog post each week. :)

Here's to a new, healthier, slimmer and fitter me and being a health inspiration to my little boy....

10,000 hits!! :)

This week is week 19 on Weight Watchers and I have reached 10,000 hits on this blog!!! :))))))))

**As you can tell I am slightly happy!**

So what else has this week seen for me?...

Firstly I baked THESE yummy cake pops.... LUSH! I took them along with me to a local church's youth fellowship where they were a big hit - I was surprised!

Secondly I dropped my powder :( and it smashed :( - However, it means that I will need to buy a new one ....

Thirdly I saw NO WEIGHT LOSS :( Major sad times as I am now getting annoyed with that so.....

I am now back to proper tracking with my phone and online tracker - I feel that this will help me with ensuring that I am pointing properly and will hopefully question myself on is it worth putting it in my mouth as it will mean that I have to point it!!!

I have of course enjoyed some yummy meals.....

Hairy Dieter's inspired Chicken Bhuna (Pointed as 3pp for the curry and then 4pp for the naan) TOTAL 7PP

Lazy friday night - can't be bothered to cook meal - 2 slices of WW Bread (2pp)  2x Chicken Style burgers (Quorn) (7pp) BBQ Sauce & Tesco L.C. Balsamic Dressing (0pp) TOTAL: 9PP

WW Tortilla Wrap (3pp), Salad (0pp), Cheese (1pp) Blognaise (8pp) TOTAL 12PP

Had some yummy desserts....

Skinny Cow Mint 2pp

Jelly at lunch 0pp

Custard (2pp) & Fake apple turnover (3pp) TOTAL 5pp

Bought some new and unusual fruit .... Sharon Fruit. It was half price in Lidl (25p) and I've still not had the guts to eat or try it yet!

Had some yummy snacks at lunch time - but it obviously created the discussion in my little head of what should I have 1st?!

And lastly I have started taking a photo everyday of what I am grateful for - more to be revealed at a later stage but this is Wednesday's photo. It's of my two lovely friends that I sit next to during rehearsals with The International Staff Songsters. I am grateful for these two lovelies as we share many happy hours together giggling at lots of different bits and bobs including our funny words and notes that come out of our mouths!

Oh and of course I had some good cuddles with my boys!

What have you been up to this week?

Happy New Year! (Week 15)

Firstly I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

(Here's me with one of my lovely, glamorous Ding Dong besties on NYE)

Secondly I would like to announce something that nearly made me faint and shocked Mr O - before you ask, no! I am not pregnant! BUT somehow I managed to LOOSE 2lbs over Christmas.

I really don't know how I managed it. I had the full on Christmas dinner & buffet tea on Christmas Day and then the same again on Boxing Day. But the worst part was the desserts - I even had several helpings of my mother in laws desserts which are amazing but FULL of naughty stuff. I didn't bother pointing Christmas and Boxing Day. But the worst is still to come.... On the Sunday we went out to celebrate my little sister's 18th birthday and where did we go?... For a curry. AND I had all the trimmings - rice and a naan! So when I stepped on the scales you can imagine why I nearly fainted!

So my total loss on weight watchers is now 20lbs :)

However, I found some paperwork from this time last year when I was a test patient at work and I weighed 15 stone. I can now proudly say that I weigh 13.2 stone. I am now 1lb off getting to my 10% goal, which is something that weightwatchers sets you.

I have also set out myself some new goals which the first one is to loose 13lbs by the time of my sisters wedding - as you all know this was one of my main reasons to loose the weight. That works out as 1lb a week which is a nice, slow and healthy way to loose the fat!

Now any of you who are following the 'Weight Watchers' lifestyle will know that they have started the new Simple Start approach which is exactly what it is. It is a way to slowly introduce people to a healthier and more filling way of eating and then to slowly introduce you to the pointing system. As I have already been doing Weight Watchers for the past 15 weeks I had decided not to start this as I know that the points system is already working and I already know a lot about it.

I also took the Christmas break as a time of reflection of this past year for myself. My health still may not be good - I am still awaiting results from the hospital (they are in but have told me I can't have them yet until the Doctor has gone through them and decided on my care plan ANNNOOOYYYYING!!!) - but my weight loss has helped me focus on some positives..... Look at this for an example....

It also made me reflect on how important Mr O is to me. He has been my rock and shoulder to cry on this last year. He's been the person to cheer me up when I've not been well or had a really rubbish day. Plus his cuddles aren't too bad either!

So as many people decide on New Years resolutions, I've not decided to make any this year but to just keep going as I am as I feel that the way I live at the moment 'ain't too bad!

One of my lovely Christmas pressies this year was a blender. So on Monday I decided to completely gut the kitchen, pulling everything out, checking best before dates and cleaning everything. This is also because Mr O got a Nespresso machine for Christmas. Then, on NYD I made and enjoyed my first smoothie......

I made it up of a kiwi, a banana, a handful of frozen mango and a swish of water (all 0pp on weight watchers)...

I then enjoyed it with a 2 slices of weight watchers toast and a tea spoon of nutella. Which resulted in a yummy 3pp breakfast.

Have any of you made any New Years resolutions? Or have you received any useful everyday gifts?....

Happy New Year and here's to a fabulous 2014 :)

Week 14 - Sparkle! It's Christmas!

So week 14 is here!!! This was originally my 'D-Day' where I set myself to loose 1 stone by Christmas (1lbs a week).....

This last week I haven't exactly kept on track so I've gained 1lb. But in total I have lost 18lbs :)

Weight watchers had set a 'challenge' ? to their followers to 'Get set to Sparkle' which, at this time of year I can't say no to a bit of sparkle and glitter - OK, maybe all year round I can't say no to it!

So within these last 14 weeks I have lost a total of 18lbs :)

This is just the start to my weight loss - This Christmas was my starting goal - now for 2013 to keep loosing it with my Sister's wedding as my next mini goal! (Remember THIS post?!)

So my next aim is to stay the same over these next few days of festive joy and then from 1st January I want to loose 13lbs before my sister's wedding - 1lb a week - a healthy way to do it!

But for now, on Christmas Day.....

I just wanted to write a 'post' Christmas card to you all and show you some of my highlights in the lead up to this lovely time of celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Week 8

Whoops! Forgot to press post!!!

So here is this week's update on my weigh in.... Lost another 2lbs!! Which now means that I have lost a total of 17lbs in 8 weeks - man I love you weight watchers!!

Today I went to the Ideal Home Show at Christmas - and yes we nibbled on some sausages and cheeses - but only small pieces!! So I counted them as a whole meal. We went to Nandos at the end of the day and I was really good and only had a chicken leaf salad which I counted as just chicken breasts and their sauce as I had no dressings on the salad - go me!! Hhahahaha!!

Whilst going around the show there was one lady who stopped me and asked me would I like to know my BMI - to which I proudly said it's OK as I already knew that it didn't matter as it was going down. She got talking to me and then found that it was very impressive that I had lost 17lbs in 8 weeks and I said it was all thanks to Weight Watchers where I can eat pretty much what I like and not some silly soup or shake diet (like what they were offering!)

All part of the fun there I did go a little bit mad and got pink added to my hair.......

What do you all think?!

I have also found my Christmas dress! I ordered it from Avon - but it's a pretty cool dress in that I can wrap the top half around whatever way I want. It is reversible - one side gold and the other black. The gold really looked tacky but the black side looked really nice. It was only until I tried this dress on that I could notice my weight loss........

This one shows the bow at the back:

And this is the one minus the bow...

What do you all think?...

This weekend I might brave it and try on my old Salvation Army Uniform..... Fingers crossed!!

So my weight loss now looks like this:

Week 1 - 3lbs
Week 2 - 4lbs
Week 3 - 1lbs
Week 4 - 2lbs
Week 5 - 1lbs
Week 6 + 1lbs :(  - 0lbs
Week 7 - 4lbs
Week 8 - 2lbs
